Does anyone have any idea what this added vacuum component is and what the likely modifications to this system may have been made? I'm wondering if someone purchased a system mod that had specific directions I could back track from.
I've got a code 332 that keeps coming up. I've replace the EGR and EGR Position Sensor.
There seems to be more hoses that there should be. Like there is an extra "T" connection. I've tried tracing the vacuum diagram on the hood...but some of it does not make sense to me. like the dotted lines vs. the colored lines.
Notice the can below the added vacuum component above it.
I've got a 1992 Eddie Bauer with a 302 engine.
I keep getting a 332 code. I replace the EGR and EGR Sensor, but still getting the code.
As I began to start checking vacuum hoses I noticed an extra part that I had not seen in my previous 1989 Bronco from 15 years ago. Zip-tied above the regular vacuum can is plastic box. Both the original vacuum can and the zip-tied plastic box have vacuum hoses attached. So I'm confused.
My thought was to get it back to original, then troubleshoot from there.
