The straight crack happened this morning the other crack is were it broke when I was installing the radio I glued it back together. The radio just slides around now. This was broken when I bought it.
Can you take an overall picture so I can see the features of the dash in the event it is different from the 00? The 05-07 F250/350 truck dashes changed quite a bit from the 99-04 trucks.
Just trying to ensure you get the right dash.
I am betting the black coloring they added to that dash plastic is the reason it is cracking. The browns and grays don't have that problem.

I've owned a 00 and a 05 there is no difference as long as its from an Excursion. thanks
My ex is garage kept save for a few years in between houses and even then I kept window shades in all the windows. My black dash panel is like peanut brittle. Every time I mess with it it falls into more pieces. The rest of my interior is in really good shape. Last year I removed it and fiberglass reenforced a few places but now it is failing under the head unit just like the pic above. Frustrating.
Hey man, I was wondering if you're able to get more than one of those? I had started another similar thread for the same purposes with my black bezel on my 05 having the same issue. Trying to find a way to get a replacement...
I have a replacement. They are not easy to ship, as you are never guaranteed it will survive the gorillas at the post office. Packing has to be very well done = not cheap.
this is the reason i dont like dark/black dash's to much in a vehicle darker the color the more heat it soaks up an drys the plastic out to point of becoming horribly brittle i tend to lean to greys or use one of those reflective sheets you put up to your windshield to block the UV from drying out the dash
