On good speed bumps the front and rear get an easy 2-2.5 bounce.
I also saw where the top bolts of the shocks are located...oh man!!1

I went for the E350 shocks from MotorCraft. However this is very subjective. It's all about personal choice. I would recommend shocks only considered original ride quality or heavy duty. No "economy" or "budget" parts. You literally get what you pay for with shocks.

Ok so if I wanted a more firmer ride (a bit more responsive), would the stock E350 fit the bill? Or bilsteins? Thanks

I never had anything but MotorCraft shocks on my van so I cannot comment on the Bilsteins, but the standard E150 shocks are too floppy for my liking.

Ok, so like what you were saying...if I where to slap some motorcraft E350 shocks on it, it would be more firm than stock E150 shocks?

So has anyone actually searched for the shocks? According to my memory/research the e150 shocks are the same as e350.

a quick search of Rockauto indicates no difference between E150/E350 for brand names Gabriel, KYB, Bilstein, Monroe, and yes, even Motorcraft.

It specifies with/without ambulance package, RSC, and class C motor homes..

how is my theory incorrect? I must be missing something here right?

Is "ambulance package" something that would be listed on the build sheet, or were those all pretty much turned into ambulances and not sold to the genpop?

Well on my truck, there is a sticker inside the door stating that it's not meant for ambulance use.

Should I look at "standard" or " heavy duty"? Remember.. no hitch or towing.
