I currently have a 67 frame w/ a set of disc brakes up front from unknown model year. Bolt pattern is 5.5. My question is, will the I-beams and spindle brake set up from a 80-82 F100 fit a 67 frame??
Reason I ask is, they have 4.5" bolt pattern and I have an 81 rear end Im swapping into the 67 frame. I'd like to keep everything 4.5" pattern. I had thoughts of crown Vic swap but, I'm limited on welding skills.
All the reason to invest in a welder to not be beholden to bolt on mods.... it opens a.world of possibilities and rusted heaps are that much more "affordable'.
To answer your question, I've been on FTE for over eight years andm no one has ever used I-beams n discs from an 80-82. I figure it it did fit someone would already have done it by now.
Bullnose suspension is a completely different arrangement than a Dentside/Bumpside suspension.
If you had the front discs from a Dentside F100/F150 (assuming your truck is an F100), you can have the hubs of the rotors machined down and the lug pattern redrilled to the 4.5" wheel pattern to fit the more abundant 5 x 4.5" wheel choices.
After 79, the trucks changed to "front steer". The steering box is forward of the crossmember, and the steering is in front of the crossmember. The spindles are backwards for older "rear steer" trucks.

That is exactly what Ultraranger meant by "have the hubs of the rotors machined down ".
Frame widths were different as well, wider for 80-81. Along with the I-beams were a tad shorter for 80-81. And the frame attachments are at an angle on the 80-81 compared with flat for the pre 79. And there's a cross member that attaches to the pre 79 ibeam brackets.
Pretty much apples and oranges but anything is possible. I suspect the CV swap would be easier and a lot more beneficial. the pre 79 setups are just too much available, totally bolt on and reasonably priced to consider a lot of work putting in a 80-81.
Hi-O, I saw the studs in the rotor re drilled, I didn't realized the hubs were machined. I miss that. Is the machining kinda like putting them on a brake lathe and cutting outer portion down? Any specs on how thick they should be when cut down?

Search for the bearing hub register O.D. of a '75-'80 Granada front rotor. Find it and you'll have your answer. (Early Mustang hub register O.D. is smaller than Granada).
Doing well, albeit busy lately. I have a '72 F100 I'm working on that belongs to a friend --replacing floor pans, adding power steering and adding a cargo light on the rear of the cab.
I'm helping another friend, on the weekends, with his '79 F150 Super Cab --installing a '92 5.0L EFI Mustang engine and an AOD, a Traction-Lok differential/3.70 gears, running the plumbing for dual fuel tanks, installing a 130 amp 3G alternator and a Mk VIII e-fan. He and I will be back working on his Dentside tomorrow morning (Saturday). In addition to the funds for hire on this, I got an F100/F150 Dentside front disc brake suspension and a nice (automatic) tilt wheel column from a '78/'79 Dentside in the deal.
I have another friend with a '65 F100 wanting to install an AOD and said he may hire my help with that.
...in reference to the hub register O.D., I believe the early Mustang hub is 2.44". I seem to recall the Granada front rotor hub registers being on the order of something like 2.78" but, if you can find the information/dimensional drawings to give the specific figure, you will know for sure what this dimension is.
