You are e first person I've seen get
a misfire count from SGII FOR a specific cylinder

will you post the code you used to program

Is the count still there upon restart of vehicle??

We had talked about someone forcing a misfire to see if it worked but I don't think it ever happened

Nice! Those electrical things can sure be pesky at times on these beasts.

So do I win a prize? I will get the code I used to program it in the morning direct from the device and post it. You know, I did not check to see if it cleared when I restarted it. (I cycled to other gauges once I determined 5 was the culprit )
I will check that too.

I too have experienced a rough idle after towing long distance. I plan to change the fuel filters to see if that helps, they have about 30k miles on them at least.

i will look at that hose to see where it lays on the harness if at all.

30k miles is 3x the life of those filters.....just sayin. Could result in lower than normal fuel pressure.
Might not hurt to pull the side cover off the HFCM, might find some gunk there that will likely not flush out with the drain plug removed.

I had a feeling I was past the typical change interval. anything i need to be aware of when pulling that cover? is it wise to pull the filter first to relieve pressure? is there any gaskets that i may need as well? what do you use to clean out the HFCM if infact its dirty?

I would just open the drain up first then take the filter out. The only way you will know if it's gunked up is take the side cover off, I would have a gasket on hand yes. Good time to get the updated drain plug as well if you don't already.
