Ok, so I'm on to either the 3rd or 4th Ex in my search now. We aren't limiting ourselves on really anything at this point as the search is like pulling teeth with no Novocaine.....
Anyways, so we are looking at a Limited that has second row buckets/captains chairs. We much prefer the second row bench but will get this one and work at finding/trading a bench or something of that nature. So my question is, what are the odds of swapping seats with someone else wanting captain's chairs?
Also, does the CC F-250/350 rear bench seat fit the Ex? I know that it won't have the fold/slide feature so that may negate that anyway.....

You have very good odds...so good that someone may even pay for the opportunity.
I think most people prefer captains chairs. That was a must have for me...
Not for my needs, I like the flat surface for dog space. Additionally it turns a 9-seater (potentially) in most cases 8 passenger vehicle into a 7 passenger hauler.
IF we end up buying the 2004 Ex Limited in question, it will be in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, but I am willing to arrange a swap via freight etc if it is too far to meet up in person.
My wife is really wanting me to get a potential swap lined up so if the sale happens tomorrow, a seat swap WILL happen once I find the right dancing partner.
Only stipulation would be that it would need to be medium parchment colored leather from a Limited or XLT with leather. I don't THINK the solid tone leather seats were different styles.
My only question is will ALL years direct swap? I thought there was a second row bench seatbelt change up somewhere in there.....

Seriously?
Just focus on your purchase.
Plenty of time to make trades/swaps.
I'm out... you're a ways away and freight would be astronomical and I can't afford it... not sure I really even want to get rid of the bench anyways... sorry.
