Well after a couple of years thinking about it I finally put in a 2018 order for a Supercrew in Oxford White with Camel interior and 5.0 engine. Other options include the 502 appearance package, 36 gallon fuel tank, 20 inch chrome wheels and the tailgate step. Also have the all weather rubber mats coming. I was told to expect about 8 weeks to delivery. Can anyone tell me if dealers accept the 750 dollar certificate that Ford sends out on new orders such as this? None of the paper work has been done yet. Also appreciate any opinions on the above options. I do not do any towing. My last truck was a 1998 F150 and over 20 years it gave me 170,000 miles of good service so I'm super excited to get into a new one.
Congratulations ! I to am waiting for my 2018 F150. Don't know about the Ford Credit thing, but I had to have them hit my credit card for $500 to order the Truck.
When it comes to ordering a car or truck, things sure have changed compared to how they used to be.
I remember purchasing my first new car back in 1988 and the thought of ordering a new vehicle without any money down or even a couple of hundred dollars down would not cut it with a dealer.
No way would they special order a vehicle with so little or no money down.
This dealership has it's own truck center with it's own lot and quite a bit of volume. They felt the truck I ordered would be easy to sell if I didn't take it. White trucks are popular anyway and I didn't get too carried away with options. I like that they are that flexible and close to where I live (northern Utah).
Gee I thought all dealers required a deposit to order a new vehicle but I could be wrong. I can't remember whether I needed a deposit back in 1963 when I ordered my first new car, but I do remember having to pay $75 to order my 5th new vehicle, a 1976 C2500 for them to place it on order. From then on I've always had to place a deposit to in act an order. But all of these orders were placed to Arizona Dealerships and there are a bunch of fly by night people here !!!!
Never heard of putting a deposit down. Suppose if you ordered a strange combination they might ask for one but none of the dealers near me ever ask for a deposit.
I think we put a $500 deposit on ours. I don't really recall though, but I would not be surprised to have to pay one. The reason we had to order ours is because the configuration we wanted was not on their lot, nor was there one in the whole state of California in that configuration. That tells me that our combo was not "common", and I would expect to have to pay a deposit to cover.

Yes they do, also if you are retired or a disabled vet you can get an additonal 1,000 right now. It's normally 500.
i ordered mine on Feb 8th and it came in on April 4th. they also had an extra 2000.00 off at that time. I ended getting 8,000 off on my 57,000 list price.
Go to the NADA website and go to the ford pages and look at the different vehicles. There is a current pop up for 2000.00 in Private Cash that you can claim.
Regarding ordering time frames this late in the year, I believe the Factory is moving at a good pace, my order went in on May 4 and I was told today, this Friday the truck will be at the Dealership (CA). Plus my truck wad delayed a week due to the a part loss after a fire destroyed the part plant.
Regarding Incentives, call Ford, talk to Marketing Division, they can tell you what Incentives are current base on your order, yes the Incentives are based on the day you take possession, but the Dealer can lock it in, it just takes a willingness to do it and a little extra time. If you call Ford enough and ask lots of questions, giving your contact info, you could end up with a Personal Certificate ($1000.), That's how I got mine, it was before ordering the truck, it was carrot thrown by them.
