Yes, it was the glove box light.
One night I walked by the truck and saw this faint glow of light. Looked through the driver's door window and noticed it was the glove box light. The switch was no good so pressing it didn't shut the light off.
I had something similar happen to me but mine was more obvious. I was out of town working and went out to the parking lot to a truck with dead batteries. The switch for the dome light in my rear driver side door stuck and kept my dome lights and truck bed lights on and it killed my end of life batteries. Sprayed a buttload of wd 40 in the door and worked the latch for 10 minutes. Replaced both batteries and it's been good ever since.
To this day I still check to make sure the dome lights go out.
well thats funny... when I run Forskin (haha) i always get a GEM Module error...
Sorry for the glare...
Maybe because the build date of my truck is in 2001 it is different than that of a 2002 build date? I clearly have a GEM if I am getting GEM diagnostic code. Right?
I just went out and did a manual inspection... No GEM with the Fuse Box. There is a large black module behind the radio. I has 3 large wire harnesses plugged into the bottom of it. I am guessing this is the VSM (aka GEM)?
If it is not working right, is this a re-programming thing? or a replacement?
We have seen some "mistakes" or "misprints" in FORScan literature and even how their PID tracking works. It is not entirely impossible to think this is a copy/paste from a 2000 MY.
Checking the Ford Service Manual on a 2002 MY with a VSM, the following came up for a P1832 and P1876 DTC.
