This is a 2007, 143K F350
Sometimes will sit for a week before I use it.
It has a mind of its own. Some days it will start right up and if I put it in gear it stalls. I have to wait for the EOT to come up to normal temps. Yesterday I drove it to the store that's a mile away and when I pulled into a parking spot it just stalled as if I turned it off. Doesn't happen all the time.
It's not tuned as far as I know. Sounds it though. Checking fuel psi, good advice. I'll have to buy the stuff to do it since I'm not set up for the 6.0
My truck was doing that and my mechanic hooked it up and it said "poor FICM performance". So he took apart my FICM and we discovered there was a SWAMPYS FICM inside that was malfunctioning. Now I have a BFD 6 phase set at 53v FICM and all is good again.
One thing at a time guys.... Start with known parameters like fuel pressure, battery voltage, the simple over looked things in life to get a base line going. The port is Metric on the upper filter and I assume the fuel filters are up to date.

Usually but not set in stone, most will have a sticker on the outside to prevent tampering with the company logo on it. If we get down to the FICM and you have a friend to swap with, it doesn't get any easier to rule out a bad FICM.
Once I get what I need to read fuel psi, I'll report back
Do you have a harbor freight close?
They have a 25 dollar oil pressure kit that has all you need including the fittings needed to connect to test port on fuel filter housing
Bringing this back to life. A couple of things since this last post. I did learn about draining the water separator since this and because the "water in fuel" showed up on my display. So that's done. I had a injector fail on my (cyl 5) so that has been repaired.
I still get the "cold start" stalling when putting the truck into gear. So I'm thinking it has something to do with transmission or fluid. Level is good, as a matter of fact I had a the fluid replaced by ford.
So I'm wondering if there is some sort of transmission sensor, whether pressure or temperature that could make it stall until its warmed up?
