I would also like to know how to set up the graphing. The adapter and the app seem to be doing great so far now that I change that one setting. I did said it back for faster communication and it's working well with that other option you had disabled

ok, let's hope it stays that way -- who knows maybe it wasn't plugged in tight or there was dirt on the contacts...
Go into settings, and then Data Logging, you'll get it from there -- you set up what you want to log and then anytime you want to log those PIDs, from the realtime screen you can start and stop logging. You will see there are a lot of logging options when you go into that logging setup area.
Personally, I use the logging feature when I'm chasing a problem or studying something, otherwise I use the gauges on my realtime screens that capture high/low values, which is usually good enough. When I do log, I transfer the log files to my PC and use Excel to look at the data - much more power over there...
Yes, what you are missing is that the graphing is of a static file, not realtime data graphing. You set up the PIDs to log, you log the data on some trip, then you can use Torque to graph that data... Or you can move that file elsewhere and analyze it there...
It doesn't do it in realtime...
On Edit: Wait - I haven't tried this, so maybe I'm way off (wouldn't be the first time...). Try starting the logging in the realtime screen and then go to the graphing and hit play, maybe it will show you the PIDs as they are recorded to the log... I haven't tried that...
Have you tried setting up a set of logging pids, starting the logging and then hitting play in the graphing? I haven't, but that is what I'd try 1st...
I have only logged files and studied them after...
I have set up a pids to be logged. My problem is I don't know how to start logging
There may be more than one way, but what I do is go into the realtime screens and click on the gear symbol down in left lower corner. It will have Start Logging as a top menu choice. The menu choice changes to Stop Logging when it is logging data to the file...
Still trying to nail down exactly how to do it lol
Here - I found this old YouTube video on real time graphing. Take note, he is setting up the logging with the engine Running (that is why PIDs are showing up green). I've never done this, but this looks like a pretty good "how to":
