Hi everyone, I was wondering if I could get some pictures of your firewall booster/ pedal set up. Looking for ones that have been swapped from other vehicles. There was some awesome posts with pictures showing setup's that I previously read but since photobucket problem they are gone. Would you mind just posting any pictures you may have of your setup. If you have a few details pedal height etc even better. Thank you for any help
Zac
I am in the process of doing the same thing. This is what I have ran into. It's a booster/cylinder/ pedal assembly from a 92 F150 in a 56 F100. It's only mocked up not permanent but as you can see, the booster hits on the brace. I am going to go to salvage yard and see about a smaller booster, someone said a Ranger booster may work with the f150 pedal assembly.

Hi Greg
Thanks for the pictures! Looks like it was ment to sit there. To bad about the brace..even though I don't have a brace on my F1... I think I will be using a double diaphragm booster to keep the size down... it's tight with the valve cover!. Love the almost free salvage yard stuff..... if you don't mind would you be able to send me, or post a picture of your F150 pedals. How far do they sit off floor? Any info is appreciated.
Thanks again
Zac
I used the brake booster from a 2001 Ford Explorer.
I also used the hanger bracket assembly (modified) to hang the brake pedal. The brake arm had to be lengthend for proper height. Not the best pic of pedal.
I like the way yours fits Tom. Here's pics of the pedals, Zac. As you can see the brake pedal hits on my steering column, but it's only a trial fit. I plan to go to the local "bone yard" and see what I can find tomorrow.
Thanks Tom and Greg, some really good ideas there..... I have thought about just getting any pedal assembly and then modifying it but I'm worried about it failing a safety inspection for that. Still thinking.......
Thanks for the pedal pics they help.

This is what I am having put in Henry. It will be mounted on the left side of the column since there is no room on the right side for the brake and gas pedal and column for my big feet. The last visit that I made just before the fourth, it was mounted and looking good. No, I didn't get any photos. Darn it!
This is not finished and it is for a 53 but it's a c4 corvette master and pedal assembly . The master needs to be mounted at an angle so the heavier plate was the ticket there is room for the support rod and the pedal is where I feel is good and still adjustable with shims or by changing the rod length . The pics are not the best .

That looks pretty good as it is. Looks like You got it on the RH of colum will you have to extend pedal length? How does it feel there? Thanks all for th info!

I haven't tried it with the seat in but the gas pedal is where I want it with the seat in so it should be good where it is. It does look closer to the floor in the pic than it really is . I am pretty happy with it's position as is . And yes it's on the right side .
My pedal setup if you're interested. It is for a 53-55, but may give some ideas. Photobucket has made posting my pictures a pain in the rear since I have to import my pictures one at a time. Every time I try to download my F100 album back to my computer, photobucket indicates an error...try again.

Definitely interested! That looks good. Does It come down on RH side of column, how far from gas pedal..... I like the brace. Strong but simple. How low did you mount the booster, how much clearance for valve covers? Any chance of a firewall picture? Sorry about photo bucket what they did should be illegal
Thanks Zac

A few photos of my setup. For the swing pedal, I made a trip to the salvage yard and bought a couple pedals modified parts of them to work for my particular situation. I spent a little time studying pedal ratios and finally used the wag method for pedal length. My truck has 4 wheel disc brakes and I must say it stops much better than I ever expected. The pivot bracket is 2x2 square tubing that I modified to allow me to bolt it to the firewall and the dash.
Picked up gas pedal with cable, brake pad and dimmer switch pad of ebay.
