I have a 1988 F150 (302, AOD) that I am converting from SD flat tappet to roller block MAF with the HO firing order. I have had little trouble repinning and adding the wiring necessary, but I have been unable to find the definitive answer as to how to repin the ECU to be correct for the 351/ HO firing order. Does anyone have a clear diagram or a simple "wire #? goes to pin #?" to explain? I have attached the chart I have been using, is this correct?
Yes that chart is correct, I made it. You don't have to concern yourself with injector firing order that is handled by the PCM internally. What PCM are you using BTW?
Thank God, just the person I was looking for to reply! I had no idea that the injector firing order was controlled internally and have been beating my head against the wall trying to find the "correct" chart. I picked up a C3W from the junkyard, hoping it works and works with the stock AOD transmission. I read somewhere that the TAB and TAD pins go to the air injection/ smog pump system; if I have no plans on reusing that system are they necessary?
Yes TAB and TAD are control solenoids in the air injection system, to minimize codes it is recommended that the solenoids remain electrically connected but everything else including vacuum lines to and from the solenoids can be deleted.
