Wasn’t sure where to enter this… For the first time I had my oil changed by a local garageand didn’t use the dealership. Now I have a “oil change required” message onthe dash. The local guy obviously didn’t, or didn’t know how to, reset it. Themanual describes how to reset it but my message doesn’t show “XX%” on thedisplay as described in the manual. I tried the procedure anyhow but no-go. Ihave to constantly hit reset to clear the display. Does anyone know how todelete (reset) this message? The truck is a 2012 Super Duty 6.2 (gas). Thanks for yourhelp.
I recommending posting this question under the SD forum that includes the 2012 MY. My OLM reset has been in different locations on all of my Ford vechicles and sometimes it's a PITA to find.
You've probably thought of this, but I'll ask anyway...Do you know what your OLM was at when you got an oil change? You'll need to account for that during this oil cycle. Otherwise, your oil may already be toast when the light goes on next time around.
