Welcome to FTE.
Use your scan tool, or code reader to scan the computer for trouble code clues & post All code Numbers, as they can help focus a trouble shoot.
Your vintage vehicle is OBD-1 diagnostics, so if you don't have a scan tool, or code reader, you can still scan for codes by accessing the under hood DLC & following the options listed here Ford ? OBD/OBD2 Trouble Codes, or with a jumper wire, you can have the dash CEL blink the codes, your choice.
If you don't want to do that, many auto parts stores are no longer equipped with OBD-1 code readers but you can call around & ask, as if they do have, most will scan at no charge.
Then post up All trouble code Numbers & the forum can then make informed trouble shooting suggestions, based on those code clues.
