2005 expedition
I have a 2005 Eddie Bauer edition Expedition with the third row seat when I bought this this Factory radio had been replaced by JVC CD player the factory DVD player is still in the vehicle it will reject a DVD and allow you to insert a DVD but nothing else happens is there some way that I can get this to work for my kids if anyone can please help

Do the LEDs come on, on the DVD player? So you know it's getting power? There's a Metra harness that should be connected at the rear of the JVC radio, that sends audio input through the RCA jacks on the JVC radio. If the previous owner didn't have kids, or never used the DVD player he might not have even bothered installing this additional harness. Your best bet may be to take it to a stereo shop and tell them what you want and let them fix it. It could be an issue with the DVD player itself as well. If they say it's bad, you can find them on Ebay for $165.
The other option is to buy the kids some books to read to keep them busy.
