Turns out he’s a lying crook and after I made it a few miles down the road what seemed great started falling apart quickly so now it’s a complete redo. But anyways, I like seeing what your doing, it looks awesome!
Yeah there are a lot of these trucks in KY , sorry to hear about the poor sale you got ,

Yeah unfortunately I have to paint outside , of course you will deal with some dust , especially if you live on a farm as I do , Try an pick the least windy day an over concrete area if possible and if so water the concrete down to keep dust down , which I wish I could do but cannot, I have painted a few outside and buff out most dust an pest (insects )after it dries but not all..I do an try to paint fenders an doors inside an any smaller parts when I can an that helps but the cab an bed I will be doing outside ,,the dust gets in the clear coat more than the base coat so some wet sanding and buffing go a long way

We are in the same boat. I have to do the best I can. Heck, we can't all have a 2500 sq ft air conditioned shop to paint in!

Now I do have a small indoor shop where I can paint small parts like you say. BUT, I can't my truck inside.....

Are you planning to use lacquer paint?

Fixed the one corner that was rusted and cleaned up and test fitted panels on the doors , so far so good and did some cleaning on bottom of hood,,bottom of hood had surface rust all over bottom as previous owner left it out but its not rusted through . just a pita to clean without sand blaster ,,but wire brush on drill is working just slow
