Hmm, guess I need to talk to the dealer/service guys to see if this is a do-able option on mine.

Update... I pulled all the wiring out of the Battery Box and found that the Black Wire (Hot) from the truck is in fact charging the battery. No Battery Charger/maintainer Involved, just a straight to the battery. Just waiting form my Observation/Back-up camera kit to arrive for the install. Got the Furrion Observation/Backup.

Hopefully someone will chime in and say if that is a good thing or not. On my RV I think the RV batteries are charged from the converter which gets power from the truck or from shore. Which means there is some "smarts" involved to keep the battery from being overcharged.

yes the charger is smart and yes, there is feedback to the truck battery when the 7 pin is plugged in and the ignition is on. But if the engine is running only the source putting out the highest voltage does the charging.

Update: Just finished up my Retrofit 5th Wheel Observation Camera install onto my Enclosed Trailer. I followed the Instructions from Furrion about placement. In doing so, I had to have a Custom Mount welded up to get the clearance necessary from the Marker Lights. The instructions also talks about wiring the camera to the battery as this post originally started out as. Anyway, the Camera is up and running fine. I have ordered the Monitor Sun Shield/Visor to complete the package. While I was in the battery box, I installed a Battery Charger/Maintainer. (I hate wiring).
