My wife surprised me with my 11th anniversary present yesterday, but a little backdrop before the pics.
I am really into free diving. But, given my age, I'm starting to slow down and wanted to get a boat for ocean trips to dive and fish. Since the boat needs to be small to get in and out of coves, but large enough for family fun on the lakes, an inflatable wasn't an option. I bought one off of CL and started having issues with it and never really got it into the water, so....
Do you have a friend who is METICULOUS about everything they own? From their house down to their garbage cans? We do. So they have this boat that we didn't know they were trying to sell until Thursday. Seems they had a buyer who was starting to flake. That's when my wife told me she wanted to buy their boat, if the flake happened. We stopped by our friend's house yesterday to drop off some computer supplies, and chatted. The prospective buyer called while we were there and had to back out.
First words out of my wife's mouth was we'll buy it. Our friend was shocked and started to himhaw about selling to friends. I told her that I NEVER complain about things I buy from friends. After talking for about 5 minutes, we headed home. At home, we received a call and the boat was ours. One hour later, the boat was at our house and the deal done!
Oh yeah, they have always had this boat maintained at Buck's Outboard in Sac, CA and swear by them for boat maintenance. Good thing they didn't tell me about this earlier
Since I don't like how Photobucket is doing the pics, I'll post pics of the boat when my upgraded membership kicks in.
