John, welcome to the forums. Was the new CPS a Ford or International one, or was it from a parts house? Parts house CPS don't seem to play nice with these engines. Use a Ford or international one only.
I'm new to diesels so am floundering a little here. Truck ran fine one day and the next no start. Internet said try new cps first and that if it was working should show some rpms on tach while cranking. New cps, no rpm's on tach. I have a 1997 f350 crew cab dually. I'm lacking a little in the mechanical department, but any help you can give me will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance John
look at the wiring going to the CPS really well. if it becomes worn the signal can be interrupted and it will not start.
Do have a check engine light?
Smoke from the tailpipe while cranking?
