Hello,
I think that the head gasket was compromised due to the fact that I never re-torqued the head after I installed the motor. I basically installed the motor and put around 600 miles on it (I was so excited to drive the truck that I forgot) before I remembered what the engine builder told me, " torque the head after heating up the motor the first time and then again after 100 miles". I am picking the head up today as I had it checked for cracks and warp. Its DONE!

If it runs as nice as it looks, it must be nice! I'd want some kind of insulation on those battery cutoff knife switches though. That looks like a short circuit waiting to happen.
Is that an Ampco Oiler I see in the background? I've wanted one of those for a while but they want just a little too much for them, as pouring it in the fuel tank accomplishes the same thing.
