Ok i tried that one but heres whats going on. It only throws codes at startup or within the first few minutes and miles. The codes im getting on the scan gage2 are random and all over place sometimes transmission codes and sometimes intake and glow plug codes and sometimes codes that dont lead to anything. If i check it with a cheap handheld scanner the only code i get is p2100. I know the crappy hand helds dont read all the controllers but i dont know where to start because the truck runs fine and the scan gage never showed this code at all. Dont know which to trust.
I also noticed that the soot level seems to climb faster so maybe the p2100 code is correct for the throttle valve actuator. Maybe its staying closed and relying more on egr. If i clear the code it goes away till i restart the truck.
