What block ?

Found out the 83 F250 460 has a cracked block from improper winterization. I'm looking around for donor Motors and not sure what year block is compatible. Also I haven't seen the crack yet are blocks repairable I just want a basic rebuild or a high mileage motor that I can rebuild plan on keeping this truck for many years and using it

Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market is showing a 1985 engine and a 1987 engine fitting your truck. I bet any 460 up to when they went to fuel injection would fit ok. They may have gone to fuel injection in 1988.

Here's some hits from Kansas.
