I'm gonna mess with this next couple nights. 4wd works if you lock hubs manually. When I had it on the lift they engaged. You could hear them click. When its on the ground they do not. Not sure whats going on. It was doing this about a year ago. It has always worked until then.
Did you replace the inner seal(s) also, not just the outer o-ring seal? Check vacuum at either side and see if you have vacuum generated properly. If not... vacuum pump or solenoid or lines. If so... check inner seals too.
I replaced al the seals. I smoke cheap cigars all day long will have to mess with it next few nights. I have to replace a oil hose from BPD remote cooler then mess with this again. Thanks!
That's great.
Keep an eye on your front though, I bought a cheap solonoid replacement and it worked great. After 2 yrs it allow 15 in hg to lock hubs in but only puts out 5 in hg for the 30 second unlock pulse.
My hubs need about 7 in hg to ratchet to unlock mode. I'm getting a oem unit this time.
Working Auto locking hubs on a Superduty / Excursion = Unicorn. Does anyone know if there's an aftermarket alternative Auto Locking Hubs. I don't mind getting out to lock my hubs but the wheel caps have to be removed to do so.
I have two sets one the Auto lock works but they are seized and the manuals don't.. the other the manuals work but not the Auto "Know" they are locked if I get stuck.
Here is something I learned the Hard way.. If you can not move at all when you are stuck your fronts will not engage until you go about a half wheel turn.
I looked like an idiot last spring with my back end stuck on a Ice/snow bank in a parking lot and the fronts not engaging.. had to get a dodge give me a tug to get off the snow bank.
