Intake Temp

Where is intake temp measured on our trucks? My reading on Torque Pro is within 5-10 degrees of ambient depending on driving conditions. Just wondering what's "normal" and where it is measured? I know there is a sensor in the intake manifold but not sure if that is where my reading comes from.

The one in the intake is the IA2. That's is the one the PCM uses to see flow from the eGR cooler.

Forgot to answer the question but at the IA2 I will see 50-65* above the IA1 sensor. I am not deleted.

IAT is part of the MAF sensor on the intake tube, IAT2 is in the manifold.

IAT should be fairly close to ambient, the book says that at 98*f IAT that IAT2 should be 113*f, but that might not really be accurate based ambient temp and how much boost pressure you're running. I guess they have to put SOMETHING in the book, doesn't mean it's useful.
