question for the techs
Wher on the engine does the computer pick up it's intake temp reading, was curious so set my edge to display intke temp, 60 deg air temp crusing at 68 mph intake temp was 120 deg. would zoodad mod ower this temp.

I don't know if the diesels have MAF's or not, but newer ford MAF's incorperate an IAT sensor. My IAT reads very high too, but I'd rather suppy cooler air than trick the computer. I am thinking about heat shielding the intake tube and heat deflector as soon as I can find some that looks good.

Yep, once the turbo compresses the air it raises the temp, then sends it through the inter-cooler and finally into the intake. Several companies offer an after market inter-cooler. That would lower your intake air temp.
