Evening! I have a 1985 original factory ford radio, which has a very dim bulb. I am trying to replace it (hopefully with a LED bulb) but can't seem to find what type of bulb I need. I ordered one, but what I was sent was a globe type bulb and the one I need is a wedge type base.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I haven't received them yet but the ad says = Brand new high quality blue LED lights, are a direct replacement to stock bulbs and work with stock dimmers.


im hoping they do work with the dimmers on the dash light

 

Do you have a part number for the original bulb? Like a #74 or #24 wedge base.

1980/89 F100/350 & Bronco: Radio dial bulb: #1893 (single contact .. 12 candlepower) / AM/FM stereo indicator: #1892 (wedge .. 1.3 candlepower).

 

Thanks Number dummy. Strange, when I google those bulbs all it pulls up are the globe type bulb. Very weird.
