My 150 didnt have a working radio in it when I got it but I swapped it out for a rebuilt unit that I got for free from a local radio shop, they claim it came out of a F150. Question is do theses radios have bulbs to light the face up at night time? If so what bulb is it? Hopefully its the same as the dash lights so I can drop in a blue LED bulb.
Yes, they did have illumination. But I don't know what it is, although I can check my owner's manual tomorrow.
Thanks, I dont have an ownersmanual and havent ordered one yet.
I also dont know if this is a truck radio or not, the ***** are correct and its a push button AM/FM with casette tape. I just hope it is as I planned on painting the yellow needle red when I have the radio out to install the bulb and the antenna amplifier I ordered for $6.
Thanks, now I wonder if MPX Tape is the one I have since it has a casette tape. Never heard of the MPX designation before.
Would like to order correct blue LED bulbs to swap in when my antenna amplifier arrives next tuesday.
~Update~
#37 bulbs convert to #74 LED, did a search for it and it looks very much like a 194 bulb. I wonder if I could use a T10 socket LED bulb which is what I am using for the 194 replacements in the dash inplace of #74.
I am looking at 74`s but so far everyone is a flat forward facing LED bulb where I want a five led bulb with four out to the sides and one facing outwards.
