I need a replacement keypad code card and I can't find anyone that either knows what I am talking about or that can tell me how to get a replacement. I've contacted the dealer, Helm Inc (they do Ford owners booklets), Ford customer service, parts departments and even tried to contact the assembly plant but haven't been successful.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to get a replacement or new keypad code card? I don't even care what code is on it in fact I would prefer to get one that has a different code than mine vs an exact replacement although that would be nice to have too, because if another thief breaks in my truck and takes it, I could always change the code and they would never know the original one if I had a card with a "non-permanent" code. I will likely never leave it in the vehicle in the future though. I simply want a replacement to put with my owners booklets to go with the truck if/when I sell it.
If you don't know what I'm referring to, it's the plastic blue, white and black card that has the 5 digit "permanent access code to the "Keyless Entry System" (numeric keypad located on the outside of the vehicle)" on it. It's about the size of a credit card and is usually placed in the owners manual folder. Here are a couple of pics of what I am wanting.
the master code (printed on the hard card, that comes in your owners manual/kit) is permanent and is part of the computer it can NOT be changed or erased.
the only way to change the master code is to replace the computer
as far as setting up some thief to steal the wrong card Im not sure I under stand the point - why not just remove the card from the manual set & lock it away in the house?
OP- do you know the original code? If so, why dont you just make up your own card and laminate it. If not, I've heard the code is actually on a label stuck to the trucks computer.

Apparently there is a thief out there with your permanent code. Did he get your address or any personal information? Did this happen at home or a place you frequently park at? Did he do any damage to your truck? He could come back and use the code to get in.
