coil spring install

i have an 87 f150 and i started putting rough country 1.5'' leveling springs on and the bottom retaining washer isnt holding the spring tight but its as tight as it can get. am i missing something?

The washer looks dished to the point it can't grab the spring. It's not going anywhere but if it bothers you a new washer would grab.

That's what my Moog 824 looks like. I was concerned as well, but it appears this is common.
