This truck is the gift that keeps on giving. So I found when I removed the carb that a previous owner has pieced together this pcv hose from the pcv valve to the carb base plate. Looks like they used a coupling and a piece of 5/8" heater hose to make up the difference. Not sure why it was done. Maybe it was the wrong size hose or possibly it had a leak. In any case I looked online and found a molded hose at several vendors. Not sure if what I am seeing online is correct because there were two listed and the one that was supposed to be for a 1967 f250 352 FE looked like it was u shaped which doesn't seem like it would line up with the carb base plate. There is a part number 78FB on the hose but I did a search and it didn't seem to be a Ford part number.

The nipple on a PCV is not 5/8". It's smaller. Looks like your hose connected up to the 5/8" nipple that should be in the other valve cover. Where there should be a hose connected to the air filter so the PCV system gets clean air.
I still need to order the hose and a few other small parts this week. I'll get a picture of the pcv setup that is on there. There is a hose from the air cleaner to the other valve cover but I've always suspected that it isn't quite right.
