I want to get a new carburetor. Who makes good one barrel carbs for the 223 inline 6? Whoever rebuilt it last cross threaded most of the bolts and put half a#& helicoils in and there's a chip right where the gasket goes. I don't want a rebuild to a reman. I have some money burning a whole in my pocket lol

 

They are out there, but the rebuilders want some pretty good coin for what you get.

Have you looked at http://www.carburetion.com ? I dunno if they are any good, but they sell remanufactured carbs. I doubt you'll find a new one?

It must be (Loadomatic) LOM compatible and be a matched pair with the distributor. It must have the LOM spark valve to match the distributor LOM advance..
It could be a Holley 1904 or a Autolite 1100 depending on year.
