E4OD Wiring

OK Ford tranny gurus I need help identifying wire harness connectors on my E4OD tranny. I have a 1997 F-350 4x4 and on the left inner fender there are two connectors coming from the tranny wire harness a big square one and a smaller round one. What do these connectors go to especially the smaller one? I know one is for the tranny controls but which one why two? Looks like an O2 sensor is in the bundle as well is this correct? FYI this truck is OBD I, I have noticed the same connectors on F-150's as well.
