E4OD TRANNY WIRING PROBLEM

Hi my son and i put a e4od tranny in his 1995 f250 4x4 powerstroke diesel we had to switch a few things to make it work and everything did till we got to the wiring plug on the passenger side of the tranny the plug was different so we took the plug off of the donor truck its a 1988 f350 4x4 diesel ,any how the plug that goes to the 95 has one more wire in the plug than the 1988 tranny ,does anyone have the wiring diagram or can tell us if we can just match up the wires by color if this will work .
thanks for your help

I have an E4OD harness in my garage right now that has each wire taped and labelled at both ends. When I get home I'll try to get you a good answer. I found out the hard way that even though the harness may be the same there are differences in wire placement even between my 95 donor to my 96 daily driver. I expect 88 to 95 is no different.

I used a '90 for a donor truck on my 96 and my tranny guy just had me go buy a solenoid pack as if it were a 96 tranny and it worked fine. Price was somewhere around $100

That would definitely make since as the extra pigtails are for communication with thte solenoid pack. Nice thought.
