Fuel/water filter change now water light
2017 f250 xlt 6.7 How do you go about resetting the filter status. Got side tracked and left sensor unplugged and started it. Now lights on. Turned truck off and turned back on but still on.

I think you need to give it some time, or you can always fire up FORscan and clear the code.

In my experience, the self-clearing codes are usually linked to key on-off cycles (2-3) instead of mileage.

Looks like the older trucks with the 6.7 PSD had a reset in the cluster, but from what I can see, the '17+ trucks do not have this.
