No traffic laws in France? Try driving in Greece, my friend. Then get back to me...

Well this sounds boring next to Tom's vacation but I'm driving up to Connecticut next month to see some fall foliage. Planning on Fort Lauderdale to Greenwich and returning through the Shenandoah valley with stop in Asheville.

The exciting part to me is I'll be doing this with my wife in our 911 Turbo. Shouldn't take very long

Now I need to go shopping for bags that will fit my front trunk. all the custom bags are in Europe and I'm afraid to order and not receive on time.

Good for you Tom!

Such trials and tribulations Michael! Fortunately, there are no bags that won't fit in an Excursion.

You know, New Hampshire is only a few hours further. Less in a 911, I reckon.

Also, my sister and BIL live in Asheville. I haven't been yet, but she tells me Asheville is the micro-brew capitol of the world. Reason enough to visit.

New Hampshire is beautiful in the fall! I have a yacht owner that has offered me his NH vacation home and his hummer h1 to use while there. Maybe someday lol

I've been on the lookout to help my son find a truck to replace the OBS 7.3L he has now, and came across a pretty nice 2004 6.0L F350 Lariat crew cab 4x4 that my buddy bought to fix and flip.

My buddy got it cheap because it was thought the truck might need a new engine, but it turned out to be a couple broken lifters and rods. The alternator and FICM also need to be replaced but otherwise the truck is in nice shape, so I decided to buy it for me, and I sold my '99 to my son.

It's not like my old truck, The Beast. It's not like the '99 my son coveted. It's a pretty nondescript 4x4 short bed crew cab, dark shadow grey in color with a camper shell.

Individualizing it with what I like, in order to give it the look I like, will take time, because all it takes is money!

Pics to follow.

Thanks, but there will not be a build thread.

I technically sold my current F250 to my son, but it's still mine as he makes payments. His down payment allowed me to buy this 6.0 though, but it's basically a stock truck that I'll put money into for daily driveability only, because there won't be any funds for any kind of build for a couple more years, until the wife is done with school.

It's no Super Duty or PSD, but it's a Ford 4x4 (kind of)

We drove up there several weeks after the race in the C6 and I was pointing out some of the crazy tire tracks on the road to the wife. This could explain most of them
