So there is something at that "fleabag" place that would be a legitimate gripe, eh?

We stayed at this fleabag dive while in Northern Wales, Pale Hall.

Sorry Tom, I had to see that pic again. That grass just jumps out and kicks ya in the ... anyway, we don't see that kinda green in Sept in the dezert.

Hope you got out there and swung the mallet.

Oh no, no gripes at that place, it was without question the swankiest joint we have ever stayed at. Top shelf all the way with some incredible chow too!
Currently we have moved up to the Scottish Highlands and are in the Glengarry Castle Hotel, another fine old country estate in Invergarry just West of Inverness on Loch Oich (one Loch down from where the Monster lives).

Yeah, that is a very good representation of just how green so much of Northern Wales was, nothing like that for us at home. Even back when I used to golf our local greens were not that green!
Yes, my wife and I did swing the mallets knocking some colored ***** through the wickets for a bit before dinner one evening.

Leaving our digs in the Scottish Highands in the morning and heading down to Edinbough. This is the Glengarry Caste Hotel that we have been in for three nights.

And from the Loch Oich side.

If you walk down to the water's edge, you see this sign leading to a woods trail.

Which leads you to the Glengarry Castle ruins.

The waters of Loch Oich were very still this morning.

Eric, there are campers everywhere around here, tons of them! Caravans, motorhomes of all three types and many, many campgrounds with several "laybys" where you can pull off for the night and dry camp. Way more camping and rigs here than I ever expected.

They just look a little different

Tom thanks much for sharing your pics, it brings back a lot of good memories from a trip I did back in 1992...

Yesterday we rode a very fast choo choo under the sea to a land where the people are very hard to understand, almost like a different language!

While there we saw this cool horsey statue, some big radio antenna photo bombed us.

We also hired a car and driver for the day, I am totally convinced that there are no traffic laws in France.
