So I have been quite annoyed with the speedometer on the 2003 F-250. It seems to be off 3-4 MPH at lower speeds and while on the interstate it becomes 6-7 MPH! The speedometer is showing a faster speed than my two GPS trackers.
I hooked up my scanner to see if I could calibrate a module for a different tire size. I did this on my jeep with great luck. However, I could not find anyplace to do it. While searching, I noticed that my wheel speed sensors (WSS) are sending out 3 MPH signals while parked. This could be why my speedometer is off!? Why would they be reading 3 MPH when the tire is not rotating. I am wondering if there could be some sort of debris on the sensor (magnetic?) that is sending a false signal. Any thoughts on this?
