Here might be a new one for you... I have the single panel moon roof on my SD. I push the vent button one time and it opens at the back as designed but when I press that same button to close it, the moon roof closes and then pops right back up into the vent position. In order to close it completely, I have to press that button and hold it, watching until it closes tight and release the button. If I hold it a millisecond too long, it pops right back into the open vent position.
The wife's ex-Lexus had the same problem. The dealer had to cycle it 3 times to relearn the computer. Ya, even windshield wipers these days have their own computer. The simple days of relays and pressure switches are a thing of the past.
Yes, it's a one touch open, the vent button (2nd from the front) and one touch close, directly in front of the vent button. The one touch open for the vent is working fine, however, the one touch close, used when the vent is open, closes the vent and then it bounces right back into the open vent position. I have to hold the one touch close button until it's almost closed, release it and then press it again..... guess I better call my dealership.
Took it in to the dealer today. No problem fixing. Apparently the factory used a lube on the rubber seal that was somewhat tacky, making the closure a little tougher which kicked in the reverse safety feature. Seal cleaned, re-lubed and the process of re-learning completed. Working fine now...
