5R110W P0766 help
Forgive me if this has been discussed, as I am new here. I have tried to search for this topic already and seem to find most guys are getting this P0766 code along with some other code(s). I've been having some issues with the 3-5 shift occasionally but never threw any codes until now. I was driving from my home in Las Vegas to California, where at almost exactly the halfway point it would appear I lost 5th and was put into limp mode with this code being thrown. From what I've found online so far points to a solenoid being bad and I'm hoping that replacing a solenoid or two (and having the entire system flushed) will help my trans come back to normal and that I didn't hurt it too bad. I have an SCT tuner with a street (150hp) tune and a full EGR/DPF delete with an S&B cold air intake. What gives me hope is that I don't have multiple codes, I just have the one Solenoid error code.
As a side bar, I did find another user on here post a "5R110 trans upgrade DIY mod" and thought maybe doing those changes/upgrades would help my current situation. Of course only if I didn't hurt anything.
Thanks in advance for any info/suggestions/advice you guys can give me.

one of the problems with solenoid related problems is that often metal particles that are magnetic are attracted to the coils in the solenoids....so that means that doing a flush alone is not likely to solve the problem....hence the need to replace solenoids in some cases.
I would also pull the pan and filters and clean the doughnut magnet that is on the floor pan...possible that there is so much metal flux on the magnet that its interfering the magnet from catching as mush metal as possible.
