??? BUMPSIDE/DENTSIDE ???

Question ??? BUMPSIDE/DENTSIDE ???
Gentlemen-

I am fairly new here and was wondering the terms bumpside/dentside you are using to describe PU bodies.

FORD calls then Flareside and Styleside.

Can you enlighten me as to your secret codes/handshakes?

67-72 had a ridge along the side of the body .. bump
73-79 had a grouve .. dent

two different trucks yet they can often look very much alike

I prefer Dents.

My first truck was A 77 F100 regular cab short box.

Then the 1980 and up trucks were called bullnose. Styleside and Flareside refers to whether it's a stepside or conventional bedside.
