I found this info on another forum and used it today and it works. Here I will tell how to do it, and at the end, will tell how it affected my order.
There is a 1-800 number for dealers to check on the status of their orders. If you have info, and use your salesman's name, they will provide you with the info on your truck order. Remember you are saying you are this person not the client as this is a ford internal system.
1. Dealer Code (it is on the dealer order page)...the website says to drop the letter (which I forgot to do) and use the 5 digits.
2. the website says to use the year and model of your vehicle.
3. website says to use the body type
4. website says to use the order no (this info on the dealer order page).
I remember being asked the first 2 digits of the VIN and the last 8. They confirmed the dealership name. And they gave me the info.

They told me my order that I gave to the dealer on May 26/17, was built on June 28/17 with an ETA to Vancouver Canada as July 24/17. About 8 weeks total. My dealer had previously given me the dealer order sheet and VIN.
I tried ETIS and it worked for me with my VIN.
I tried COTUS and it has never worked for me.
I hope this is helpful to others with pending orders.
Forgot to add, that it says you can track your vehicle on the railcar by phoning the number and asking for an analyst. You will be asked similar questions. You will get the rail car number and some people are able to track this thru the rail system. I have not done this and don't know about it much but this forum talked about this option. Good luck.
I ordered an F250 on May 31st and I don't even have a VIN as yet. My dealer is good though. He's showing me the order and the updates as he gets them. Ford shows the order as "order picked up". No time frame as when they are going to build it etc though.
