Jeff, they're staying overnight and then stopping by a friend's place on the way home.

My internal alarm went off at 4:00 am despite having less than 2 hours of sleep so I'm hoping a warm shower and a bit of protein will lull me back to sleep.

Feels nice out, I am sure the yard grass will appreciate the upcoming rain.

I'm ready for a little rain, and some lower temperatures. Shari's due back late this afternoon, early evening. She said they had some strong storms in Independence yesterday evening, and that much of the city is still without power.

Smoker has been going since before 7am, and I have a 7.5 pound brisket in there for dinner tonight.

If anybody is looking for a tool box for their truck, I have one for sale. It will be listed in the for wanted/for sale forum, as soon as I find a picture of it.
It's in vary good condition, and I do, have the key for it.

Re-positioned the parts Ranger in the "row". Went and got the bad motor from the X bro inlaws garage. Now going down for a pork loin fresh off the grill for lunch.

Come on cool weather!

Well that was odd. I got a robo call from the Dona Ana County, NM Detention Center asking if I would accept a collect call from a detainee. Dona Ana County is where my mother was born and most of her side of the family is from. The only person I can think of from that neck of the woods who might have my number is my cousin who likes to slap his wife/girlfriends around. Without a moment's hesitation, I hung up the phone. If I'm right, he was "man" enough to get in there so he can man-up and get himself out.

Well, that was the extent of my excitement today. I used to be able to make those last minute road trips without batting an eye. Alas, I'm not as good at it as I used to be.

RC the blue 99 Ranger had a 3.0 with an auto. I was told it was rebuilt before I bought the truck...but on hot days with a lot of stop and go in town, it would start to slip a bit.

So I replaced it with the one in the black parts truck along with the 3.0. It came out the blue trucks motor and is setting in a drip pan...let me know what you think.

good morning missouri... looks like another warm day already

rich i dont think a 3.0 is the same bellhousing as the 4.0.. all these newer trucks confuse me on what will work and what wont. i will most likely be better off just scrapping out the explorer i have..
