Now the house AC is on the fritz. I called the service guys as I don't mess with them so now I'm just waiting and trying to stay cool.

First maiden trip for fuel instead of feeding him with gas cans...
This is where the temp gauge likes to stay after running for awhile...i drove him probably close to an hour between running to Performance Inc, then into Ozark for real fuel... no indication that the truck is running hot...running smooth

Bullet ran really good, other than those 4:11 gears make getting into second a relief..lol. very loud still , I'm guessing after insulation and carpet, I should be a lot better... seemed to like 55 mph at 2300 rpm...didn't get him faster today....it was a cruising day today...

Replaced the front caliper spring after I got home from work, and before my trip into town.

Thanks again RC for all the help! We need to start on Bandit at some point soon. Very hot though...and no telling when the FEMA trips will end.. maybe a fall project?

That's a bit on the warm side Jeff.
I'd have to start with the simple things. Coolant level/strength, stuck thermostat, sending unit, do you have a shroud on the radiator?

Ok boys and Ford truck fans, the "faded red" Bronco is officially RED. I mean RED RED, not new paint job red, but buffed off oxidization pretty damn red. With paint chips, dents, rust, sanded to the primer in spots and a big ol dent, but its red-er than ever.

And I did the door jams in gloss black, hood it getting a redo to gloss black center and then respray red outer. I am still working on a front grill paint scheme...maybe just all black? FYI it was the PO that did the back lower fender black paint thing. I am not a fan.

Yes Jeff that is to hot IMO, X2 on ck all Unk Bob said. Maybe 1st off change the temp sending sensor. Its threaded in the front of the block with a 1 wire connection.

On another note, I do not mind black snakes they eat mice ect...But I do not like to find a 4.5' long black snake SKIN shed IN MY DAMN TRUCK, THAT IS IN THE DAMN SHOP. Did I say IN the damn truck?

I would hate to be working under the dash and heave him poke his head out. He is probably 2" + in diameter. That's it, the red truck is getting done next!

Holy diddy, red! And a snake? Screw that lol

Unk Bob, and Rich, I am thinking the gauge may be off some on my tempature gauge... I have a new temp sender installed...no noises as in boiling etc....running real well.... new radiator fluid too..

Evening All!

Jeff. Your floors are at the shop. I got them today.

I had to rescue a friend's Jeep from a creek bed today. 9 hours to get it out, get everyone home and the Jeep unloaded at the shop. It was a helluva day.

I'm losing ground on getting things done at the shop, though. I really didn't need to lose another day. If anybody else needs help, I'm gonna have to say no. I hate to be like that, but I can't work all day fro free. It's bad for business.

Good morning fellers.
Rich, that snake skin is a deal breaker. I hate them things, just evil, move and doesn't have any legs, just plain evil.
Another hot one, stay hydrated. As for myself, I'm smoking some country style ribs later today. Other than that, hiding in the garage.
Alan, if when you need a hand, I'm just sitting here most days. I'm still working on putting money aside and get started on Ka'Bluey.

good morning missouri.... rich that sure is good the bronco is turning back to red.. i would go with a flat black on the hood center.. a lot less reflection on those sunny days on the trail..

glad to hear ya got back to cooling fast dave.

alan.. working for free is ok if you can talk the landlord, utility companys and the grocery store to do the same

jeff i would put in a temporary 'manual' gauge just to eliminate old stock gauges as the problem before going much further with diagnosing the problem

Just got told by the CFO, that we have the funding for me to start getting what I need to get started on Ka'Bluey
So I'm gonna start calling around and get prices for Rage filler, Epoxy Primer, and sand paper.
So who has the best prices around town , Ive seen rage filler for a decent price on Amazon.
