1990 E350 overdrive switch replacement
Looking to buy a camper van. The OD switch is broken (as in multiple pieces). Is the switch assembly still available from Ford parts counters? Found used ones online but would rather have new. Need to make a decision on this before the dealers open on Monday. If you know a part number that would be a plus. This is the dash mounted switch to the left of the steering column. TIA.

I have no idea, but if not, the switch itself is nothing special. It is just a normally open momentary contact switch. Anywhere that sells electronic parts would have one of those for dirt cheap.

Can you describe what it looks like, does it have a light, is it rectangle shaped?

I am familiar with this switch. It is just to the left of the steering column and has an amber light. This is a dealer only item and it's not obsolete! Call your local Ford dealer parts department and ask for it.

Got here a few months late and the od switch is obsolete
any switch for ford OD should work? Or any radio shck? or should I look somewhere else?

Switch from an 87-91 bronco would work. Same switch, slightly different mounting system. Van version has metal spring tabs on side, bronco version has two ears with screw holes and it screws in from the back. You can get creative with the mounting or transfer the new switch into the old switch housing (basically just need to reuse back half of the old switch housing).

I would just plug that number into ebay and google and find a NOS switch (wrong)
