Trees are in the way Rick. John no underground service here. In order for them to switch to an underground line they would have to go out to the main point and run all new lines in to at least 50 homes. Not to mention rip up a drainage area, 1 main road, a side street an alley and many back yards.

We have poles on our street but in ground service from the poles. They won't connect above ground anymore here..

Wouldn't make any difference to the power company they have the time and money.

All of the homes in our area have underground service installed when they were built in the late 70s. Power goes underground a couple of blocks from here.
