I am in the market for a new toolbox for my truck to sit inside the bed and under my Bakflip MX4 tonneau cover. The space between the tonneau rails is just a shave over 50 inches and there is 20 inches of height clearance. I'm used to Weatherguards in my work trucks and I used to keep a Knaack job site box in the back of my old truck. Unfortunately, neither company appears to make a box that would fit those dimensions and I'm looking for something pretty robust. Do any of you guys have any good suggestions?
If you're wanting something waterproof, check out the Hardigg cases. You can often find these surplus on eBay or army/navy type places. There's a million different configurations and surely some would meet your size criteria. You might prefer this route because in general the cases are very light compared with metal cases the same size, which would make it easier to remove when you want to use the whole bed.
if you want to stick with a metal box, camlocker makes some that are close to weatherguard quality in my opinion. Knaack might have something for you in job site box if you want to cut the feet off. Lots of options.

Thanks in advance!
I find it odd that WG does not have one that'll fit the bill...
To be honest, I like WG so much, I'd be willing to cut a Weatherguard down and weld it back up.

wouldn't be hard to do if you have access to the right tools. i wonder what a shop wold change for this?
674-52-01 will work. Sure there are others, this is just an example.
I have the same family of boxes in my truck now: I have the 13 cu ft one (664-52-01) while the one above is 10. Mine covers the entire width of the bed, the other one has some bigger gaps on each side.
Let me know if you need pics/measurements.
You can also mount it not flush to th cab so you have space for any retractable mechanism
