intake chip, check engine light?
I put one of those air resistor chips on my 2000 F-150 5.4 about a week ago and my check engine light just came on today. Does anyone have any input? Also, do these things help at all?.....I can't tell because I also put on some 33's at the same time.

They just call a resistor chip, what it actually does is make your computer think it is always cold air coming in......to install you just unplug the sensor that goes right in your intake hose and stick this chip with 2 small wires in the plug and tape it off....supposedly 10-15hp......i got it on ebay for $10....thought i would give it a try.....

What it probably does is richen up the air/fuel mixture by making the computer think it is cold. It may give a little more power, but decrease your fuel mileage.
