I know in the 1950s and 60s service stations would use a door jam sticker to indicate the last oil change (and other maintenance items). I was wondering if anyone put one back on their truck? (Or still have an original one still on.) Which style/ brands would be period correct?
I was able to keep my original paper sticker for oil changes from the early 60s. It has a name that I don't recognize from the small town of the first owner. Most of these were from small local full service gas stations. Remember those? If you think back to the gas stations of the era, I'm sure you recall the Skelly, Union76, Hess, Standard, Texaco, Phillips 66, Sinclar, and a bunch of others I don't recollect at the moment. If you want to recreate one, just pick a favorite and have at it.

Have to say that I wasn't born until a few decades later! So, reason I was asking is not sure which stations were even around. In fact, I don't think I've ever been to a full service gas station (one that offers oil changes and whatnot). I know there are members on here from across the country (and around the world) - curious if any of the trucks still had an original service sticker on it.
Unfortunately I don't see anything vintage with that image search. I'm not looking for a modern oil change vinyl cling (that falls off a minute after the put it on).
It'd be really cool if I could find one that says "Garman's Garage, Halfville, Penna." That is where my Grandpa had the truck serviced and so did I until I moved away. The Garman's were in-laws to Grandpa and cousins to my Mother.
There are lots of stickers on eBay, some full unused books of stickers.
I think with computer graphics I could buy one, Quaker State or Pennzoil, of course and have the local sign shop put Garman's Garage on it and make a magnet....
