Received my dash from Dashes Direct. Today I sprayed it with a fresh coat of SEM dye in the correct Harbor blue color and installed it. It fit like a glove and I am 100% satisfied in the quality fit and finish. Money well spent and it should last me the rest of my life. Now that the dash looks like a new one I am going to need to respray the rest of the interior pieces so they all look like new. I figured I would be doing that so I had the paint shop mix a full quart of the Harbor blue dye.

What is the paint code for Harbor Blue? Is that the sort of dark blue like in my photo? Is my '82s interior color Harbor Blue?
I couldn't find the color chart on the SEM website - yet. Need to figure out what category to look in.
Also, SEM has a clear UV protectant. Would that be desirable on a dash pad?
I occasionally spray and wipe mine down with an interior detailing spray that has UV protection. Whenever its going to be parked out in the sun for any length of time I use a collapsible sun shade in the windshield as well. I tried a few different universal screens but none of them fit very well. I ended up with the Covercraft custom fit screen which has an excellent fit.

Yes your interior looks like Harbor Blue. I took my old dash pad down to the auto paint store and they looked up the code and mixed it then we tested on an unfaded spot to get a good match. Any reputable auto paint store the sells SEM products should be able to do it for you. NOTE....there was no paint chip in the book showing this color, but it was in the notes. I think this Harbor blue was for trucks and econoline vans only, at least that is what the lady that mixed it told me.
Now that the dash pad looks like new I will be pulling the rest of the blue plastics out of the truck and painting them as well so everything looks like new and the color match is perfect. I will try to get some pictures up later this evening. If you truck will be sitting outside then I would use the UV protectant spray application. Since my truck will be sitting in the shop the majority of the time I will probably just wipe it down a couple of times a year with 303 protectant. The SEM product I used dried to a nice satin gloss finish that looks very close to original.

I would. I have been doing another project and the paint supply store said to use the UV clear over the color (black in that case) to help protect it and I did.
Now I can not tell you how it holds up as the car has not been out in the sun since I did it.
And yes it also was a repop soft pad like on our trucks, sorry no good picture of it.
I also used a semi gloss as I did not want glare off it.
I will be doing the same on my truck when the time comes.
