on a road trip, need sync3 help !!
for some reason the navigation stopped, the maps simply won't load. They try to load but won't.
Every other function works, sat/radio/climate but since I am traveling it would be ideal to use the mapping.
Is there a way to re-boot the system?

From the manual.
The system has a System Reset feature that can be performed if the function of a SYNC
3 feature is lost. This reset is intended to restore functionality and will not erase any
information previously stored in the system (such as paired devices, phonebook, call
history, text messages, or user settings). To perform a System Reset, press and hold
the Seek Up (>>) button while pressing and holding the Radio Power button. After
approximately 5 seconds the screen will go black. Allow 1-2 minutes for the system
reset to complete. You may then resume using the SYNC system.

Kromer, hold the 'seek up' and 'power' buttons at the same time for about 5 seconds and the system will reboot. This is a soft reboot. You won't loose any presets or other settings. It simply does a reboot. Hopefully that will fix it for you. If not, there is a hard reset you can do through the settings menu and if the soft reboot doesn't work you can try that. I know that the NAV system has been giving some people fits so perhaps neither one of these will work for you but this soft reboot has helped with other Sync 3 issues.
